Job Description
Position Reports To:
Operations/Safety Manager and/orShop Manager Position Summary:
This position is responsible for manufacturing components to support our field operations and product sales as well as other responsibilities assigned by the Operations/Safety Manager and/or Shop Manager with support of Projectile Tube Cleaning, Inc management. This individual must have a good understanding of manufacturing applications with strong problem-solving skills preferred. This position would be responsible for performing manufacturing operations but also overseeing elements of the manufacturing process which may include overseeing other personnel to ensure they are performing their responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task is preferred.Job Functions:
CNC Lathe Set up and Operation- Need to have an understanding of set up and operations of
HAAS ST-20Y CNC
Lathe- Need to be able to adjust programs
- Need to be familiar with tooling and competent enough to choose what tooling to use for certain functions
- Need to be able to adjust feeds and speeds of the lathe accordingly for different metal types
- Will be trained to build programs, but the experience level needed does not require being an expert in programming at the start of the job Manufacturing - Other Set Ups - Projectile manufactures products with a series of other machines that this job will involve setting up and maintaining.
- Perform manufacturing operations as assigned by management/supervision. This may include, but is not limited to assembly, stamping, cutting, product handling, inventory management, housekeeping, etc.
- Oversee/manage manufacturing operations and/or projects as assigned by management/supervision.
- Assist with planning and scheduling work based on the manufacturing/job schedule to ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
- Assist with product flow throughout the manufacturing process and communicate adjustments when necessary.
- Set up and maintain punch presses
- Set up and maintain brush machines
- Set up and maintain injection mold machines
- Set up and maintain surface grinders
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Communicate with personnel to address information and/or to coordinate activities.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Provide manufacturing or technical guidance to personnel as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Need to have an understanding of set up and operations of
HAAS ST-20Y CNC
Lathe- The ability to multi-task and work independently is required.
- Good communication and organizational skills are required.
- Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver preferred.
- A mechanical background and the ability to build/assemble equipment is preferred.
- Experience with machining practices and equipment such as Grinders, Lathes, and Manual Machining Centers are preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with no DUIs in the past three (3) years is required and experience driving a heavy-duty truck preferred.
Physical:
- Sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
- Exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions:
- Skin exposures to oil, cutting fluids, etching solutions, etc.
- Excessive noise levels from manufacturing equipment.
- Possible inhalation of fumes, dust, and mist.
- Possible hazards from equipment operation and product handling.
