Job Description
Overview In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Ability to oversee others with less experience. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and CNC programming will drive the success of our manufacturing processes. Duties Set up CNC lathe machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to detailed mechanical blueprints and specifications Program CNC lathes using G-code and M-code, ensuring precise control over machining operations Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes to verify dimensions and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Maintain accurate documentation of setups, adjustments, and inspection results in accordance with manufacturing protocolsSkills Proficiency in CNC G-code programming and M-code for lathe operations Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation Familiarity with CNC Fanuc systems Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, and bore gauges for quality assurance Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks a plus. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail in measurement and quality inspection Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members on machine setup and troubleshooting Embark on a rewarding career where your technical expertise fuels innovation in metal manufacturing.
