Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Set Up Operator specializing in Mill and Lathes to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and set up CNC milling machines and lathes, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to blueprints and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate machining processes Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions during setup and production Conduct quality inspections of machined parts through CNC quality inspection techniques to maintain strict tolerances Adjust machine parameters as needed for optimal performance and troubleshoot machining issues promptly Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to machine operation and tooling Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC mills and lathes with a strong understanding of machine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting Proficiency in CNC programming languages Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, GD&T principles, and measurement techniques Familiarity with CAM programming software such as Mastercam or SolidWorks is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge related to machining tools, grinders, hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and assembly processes Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precision machining tasks Experience with manual machining operations is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments Commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment Join our team as a CNC Set Up Operator Mill & Lathes to contribute your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where quality meets efficiency.
