Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a CNC Lathe / EDM Setup / Operator. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, we're open to the right candidate and willing to train. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathe machines and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to technical specifications, and efficient workflow. What We're Looking For:
Strong mechanical ability (comfortable with setups, tooling, and part handling) Basic math skills (inch ↔ mm conversions, angles, simple machining calculations) Comfortable using a computer for data entry and machine interaction Willingness to take initiative and figure things out — not afraid to troubleshoot and learn Attention to detail and a solid work ethic Duties Set up CNC lathe machines and EDM equipment according to detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and process specifications. Program CNC lathes using CNC programming languages and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) drawings to verify dimensions and quality standards. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect finished parts. Maintain tooling setups, perform routine machine maintenance, and troubleshoot machining issues promptly. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during all setup and operation activities. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving plastics injection molding or similar processes. Proficiency in CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks, and CAM software for efficient machine setup. Expertise in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T specifications accurately. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), including wire EDM and EDM hole popper. Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems for precise machine operation. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs for quality inspection. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
