Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects within a fast-paced factory environment, utilizing advanced machining technology and tooling. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including CNC lathes and machining centers, ensuring accurate configuration based on detailed blueprints and specifications. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust programs as needed for optimal performance. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to produce precise parts. Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain machine tools including tooling changes, calibration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Conduct basic mechanical maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controls or programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Follow safety protocols diligently while handling materials, tooling, and machinery in a manufacturing facility environment. Assist with materials handling tasks such as forklift operation when necessary for raw material or finished product movement. Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly line processes, and packaging to ensure seamless production flow. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or other machining equipment within a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and CAM software applications like SolidWorks or similar CAD tools. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T standards is preferred. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills necessary for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machine settings. Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling equipment like forklifts. Factory or warehouse experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control; ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly to minimize downtime.
