In a globally growing healthcare market, we are looking for a full-time CNC Lathe Operator to strengthen our team in Memphis, TN. The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for using a lathe machine to shape or form metal products ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing process by following blueprints and performing necessary adjustments. The Lathe Operator will be a floater to help meet production demands .
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate lathe machines to perform various machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, facing, and grooving to produce precision metal parts
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications, including FDA good manufacturing practices and Elos quality requirements
- Troubleshoot and adjust the lathe machine to ensure proper operation
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances required for machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments like optical character recognition, micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine product specifications.
- Load and unload materials in and out of the lathe machine
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills :
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving and math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs
Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of lathe experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating a swiss lathe preferred You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in manufacturing processes.
