We are Hiring Immediately for a CNC Operator position! The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and modify metal or other materials as per specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate laser cutting machines, including configuring machine parameters (e.g., speed,power, and focus) based on material and cutting requirements Load and unload materials onto the machine bed and secure workpieces as needed. Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting on the laser machine to ensure optimal performance. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to program the laser cutting machine. Adjust machine settings and calibrate the laser for different materials and thicknesses to ensure precise cuts. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Measure parts with precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Identify and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or finished products. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure machine safety features are in place. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company and industry standards for safety and cleanliness. Complete production logs, job sheets, and other documentation to track machine usage, materials, and output. Report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor in a timely manner Work closely with other team members, such as production supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production operations. Provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience operating a CNC Machine Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic machine maintenance. Knowledge of different materials (e.g., metals, plastics) and their cutting properties. Ability to use precision measuring tools and instruments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills.
