Description of the function The role holder will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC routers to produce high-quality components in line with engineering specifications and demands, precision, technical expertise and a proactive approach to equipment care and workplace safety. Key Accountabilities Corresponding responsibility / Key Measurements / Metrics Production of parts: Components are produced in-line with customer specification and are on time in full

Quality:

Measure and inspect finished components. Document production output and complete quality checks in line with company procedure. Identify, report and correct deviations or defects

Health & Safety:

Conduct basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication and tool changes. Report mechanical issues immediately. Maintain a safe and tidy work area, following all safety and compliance requirements.

Communication & Collaboration:

Work closely with extended teams to refine manufacturability. Communicate clearly through technical documents, program notes and reporting. Key Tasks Set up and operate 3 or 5 Axis CNC routers according to engineering and production specifications. Interpret technical drawings and production plans to ensure accurate machining. Monitor machine performance and adjust feed rates, speeds and tooling as required. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality using precision measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Identify and report machine faults promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Ensure correct and safe use of equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adhere to all Gurit security regulations and company safety policies. Take ownership of Health & Safety responsibilities, including proper use of PPE and hazard reporting. Provide constructive feedback to CNC Programmer/Designer and Production Manager in order to improve work methods Functional requirements Professional skills: Computer literacy (Office Suite)

Working Experience:

Experience of running either a 3 or 5 Axis CNC router within a manufacturing environment.

Education:

GED/High School Diploma Personal Personal skill requirements: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communications and collaboration abilities across technical and production teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Special Languages Fluency in English, spoken and written

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
