10/07/2026 Job Description Job Description Job Summary TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a small machine shop in Hitchcock, TX. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist who is comfortable working across multiple types of equipment and is willing to perform more involved machining work than a basic CNC operator role. The client is open to candidates with experience in manual mills, manual lathes, CNC mills, or CNC lathes , but candidates must be capable of completing their own setups and making machine edits as needed. This is not a button-pusher position . Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate manual mills, manual lathes, CNC mills, and/or CNC lathes. Perform independent machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments. Make basic CNC program edits as needed to complete machining operations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications. Machine parts to required dimensions, tolerances, and finish requirements. Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to inspect completed parts. Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency. Assist with fabrication work, frames, and other shop-related projects as needed. Work across a variety of machines and support different machining tasks in a small-shop environment. Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of machining experience preferred. Experience with manual mill, manual lathe, CNC mill, or CNC lathe required. Must be able to perform machine setups with minimal supervision. Must be comfortable making CNC edits and adjustments. Ability to read blueprints and machining drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and machining knowledge. Must be willing to work on multiple types of machines and assist wherever needed. Must be comfortable with physically demanding, hands-on shop work. CNC operators with only button-pushing experience will not be considered. Fabrication experience is a plus.

7:00 AM-7:00

PM Friday:

7:00 AM-5:00

PM Saturday:

6-hour shift, typically around 6:00 AM-2:00

PM Pay:

$20-$30/hr
