Experience Required:

1-3 years of machining experience, or successful completion of a machinist apprenticeship/training program. Education /

Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational machining certificate preferred but not always required. Key Responsibilities Operates CNC and/or manual machines to run established, previously proven jobs from existing programs and setups. Performs routine in-process quality checks using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and records results as required. Loads/unloads parts, changes tooling per documented procedures, and performs basic machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, minor adjustments). Follows written work instructions, router travelers, and standard operating procedures without needing to redesign the process. Reports machine problems, tooling wear, or quality concerns to a Level A or B machinist or supervisor rather than resolving them independently. Maintains accurate time and production records (run counts, downtime reasons, etc.). Required Skills Ability to read basic blueprints and standard dimensions/tolerances. Comfortable operating CNC controls for running (not necessarily programming) parts. Competent with standard precision measuring instruments. Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.

Supervision:

Works under routine, direct supervision; escalates non-routine problems rather than resolving them independently.
