Machine Operator - CNC Lathes (Full-Time)

$18-$22 per hour to start, plus overtime and bonuses About the Role Byford Machine-Tool is a precision CNC machine shop serving demanding industries and producing tight-tolerance machined components. We are looking for a Machine Operator who has a strong interest in machining and wants a long-term career in a busy, production-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Operate Okuma CNC lathes and multi-spindle lathes, Load/unload parts, monitor machine cycles, and keep machines running efficiently throughout the shift. Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check parts and ensure they meet print and quality requirements. Make basic offsets and tooling changes as directed to maintain part quality. Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work area. Communicate issues with tooling, quality, or machine performance to the lead or supervisor promptly. What We're Looking For Prior experience operating CNC lathes. Minimum 2 years. Ability to read and follow basic technical instructions, job travelers, and simple prints. Comfort working on your feet in a manufacturing environment for a 10-hour shift. Reliable attendance and willingness to work required 50 hours per week (built-in overtime). Strong dependability and punctuality; good attendance is required to succeed in this role. Pay, Schedule, and Growth Starting pay: $18-$22 per hour, based on experience and capability. Overtime pay for hours over 40 per week. Performance-based bonuses.
