Job Description

CNC Operator - Join a Team That Builds What Matters Step into a role where craftsmanship meets technology. As a CNC Operator, you'll work in a clean, climate‑controlled environment using both CNC and manual equipment—including lathes—to create precision parts that keep industries moving. You'll work with real machinery, interpret technical drawings, and use hands‑on skills to turn raw materials into high‑quality finished components. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working with your hands, and continuously leveling up your trade skills—this is the job for you. What You'll Do Run and set up CNC and manual machines (including lathes) to produce accurate, high‑quality parts. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to bring each component to life. Measure and inspect your work using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges to ensure every part meets exact specs. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, basic maintenance, and minor adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot machining issues on the fly to keep production moving smoothly. Operate forklifts to safely move materials throughout the shop. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑driven work environment. What You Bring Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with CNC and manual machining—comfortable with hands‑on metal cutting and shaping. Solid skill using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools. Familiarity with machine setup, tooling, offsets, and basic adjustments. Working knowledge of G‑code and CNC programming fundamentals. Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Awesome!) Experience on Haas CNC machines Milling and lathe operations Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Interest in cross‑training into welding or other trades Physical Requirements Ability to lift/move 50-75 lbs Comfortable standing for long periods in a production environment Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive pay + structured growth path so you know exactly how you can advance. Schedule & Environment Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Manufacturing shop with a clean, climate‑controlled CNC department Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
