Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Plasma Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic industrial environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting parameters Program CNC plasma machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software Monitor machine operation during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards Conduct dimensional measurements using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime Ensure compliance with safety standards in all aspects of machine operation and material handling Collaborate with fabrication teams on tooling setup, materials handling, and quality control procedures BLM Tube Laser, Kinetic Machine Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and inspection results Experience Proven experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Familiarity with mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings Hands-on experience with other industrial equipment including press brake machines, CNC milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, and flexo presses is advantageous Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Basic shop math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements Knowledge of safety standards applicable to manufacturing facilities and machinery operation Previous warehouse or materials handling experience is beneficial for efficient workflow management Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment maintenance This position is integral to our manufacturing operations. Pay:
$24.77 - $30.00 per hour
