Job Description

Closets by Design Seattle North is hiring an experienced CNC Router Operator to run the CNC cell at our production shop in Woodinville, WA. We design, build, and install custom closets, garage systems, home offices, and wall beds for homeowners across the Puget Sound area. Every part we build starts at the router, and the whole shop's throughput is set by how well this cell runs.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Pay:
$22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. The machine and the job You'll operate our
HOMAG CENTATEQ N-300
nested-base CNC router (Stiles Machinery) with integrated label printer, cutting melamine and sheet goods into closet and cabinet components from programs produced by our in-house detailing team. You own the CNC workstation from setup through verified, labeled parts on the cart.
Day to day you will:
Set up and run cut programs from the job queue; verify program, material type, thickness, and color before every sheet Run the calibration and tool-length routine every shift and after every tool change; surface the spoil board on schedule Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance: rails and ball screws, lubrication, collets and tool holders, dust collection, vacuum pump filters Offload, sort, and label parts by job and space; stage material for the next program; load and move the edgebanding workstation Use a forklift to receive and stage sheet goods Check in with the Production Supervisor each morning and afternoon on the queue and material, and raise issues What we're looking for Hands-on experience running a nested-base CNC router or similar woodworking CNC; melamine and sheet goods in a cabinet, closet, or millwork shop strongly preferred Ability to read cut lists, shop drawings, and job paperwork, and to measure accurately with tape and calipers Comfortable navigating a CNC controller and loading programs; familiarity with Cabinet Vision or similar CAD/CAM output is a plus Mechanical aptitude for tooling changes and routine maintenance
Self-directed:
