Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machining Programmer to join our machining department. The CNC Machining Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and updating CNC programs to manufacture parts with precision. This role involves close collaboration with various departments such as Engineering and Quality, as well as providing technical support to the shop floor.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times. Operate CNC lathe machines and various other machines to fabricate parts and products Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet the required standards. Use calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Familiarize yourself with Fanuc CNC systems and operate them efficiently. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the CNC machines are running smoothly. Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and quality standards. Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM technology. Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions and configurations for machining. Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates. Establish reference points and machine cutting paths. Create and maintain detailed setup and tooling sheets. Manage and control tooling lists for all machines. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency. Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Previous machining experience, with the ability to set offsets and change tooling Experience with quality control processes and GD&T principles. Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and machining methodologies. Experience with Solidworks is a plus. In-depth knowledge of mill processes, including multi-axis applications. Fluency in using industry-standard controllers such as Fanuc, and Heidenhain. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve issues and meet requirements. Technical degree preferred.Job Type:
