Metal Fabrication Trainee (Career Path to CNC Press Brake Operator)

Pay:

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Shift:

First Shift with 4x10 Schedule (Monday-Thursday) At Kallibrated Metals , we aren't looking for temporary laborers, we're recruiting the next generation of skilled tradesmen and shop leaders. This is an entry-Level position with rapid advancement opportunity. THE "

TESTING GROUND

" We use the initial phase of your employment to see how quickly you can master Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols.

You will be hands-on with:

Laser Support:

Sorting and tagging precision parts coming off our CO2 & fiber lasers.

Fabrication Prep:

Grinding, deburring, and edge rounding to ensure every part meets quality standards

Machine Operation:

Operating tapping machines and drill presses to tap and countersink parts.

Blueprint Literacy:

Learning to read industrial drawings and use precision measuring tools.

Press Brake Support:

Assisting skilled Press Brake Operators with jobs that require more than one person (major opportunity to learn and ask questions before more formal press brake training begins)

Logistics & Forklift:

Handling raw steel, unloading trucks, and delivering finished parts to local customers.

Fast-Track to Skilled Machine Operation & Leadership We are looking for standout " A-Players " who want to master a trade. For those who show high aptitude and attention, your next step is specialized training on CNC Press Brakes. Being a Press Brake Operator is a highly skilled career path.

You will learn to:

Perform complex setups and bend sequences (creating your own bend programs). Calculate bend deductions and work with various material gauges. Responsible for the final precision and quality of the components we ship. Whether you want to become a master Press Brake specialist or eventually cross-train into Laser Operation or Welding, we provide the platform for you to grow.

REQUIREMENTS

Reliability:

Aptitude:

You have a "can-do" attitude and a mechanical mindset

Strength:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed

Ambition:

A drive to learn and grow into a skilled fabrication professional

Discipline:

Consistent focus, attention to detail, and accuracy Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
