This is a 2nd shift role for a skilled machinist who thrives in a high-complexity, low-volume environment where quality and precision are the ultimate metrics of success. Training will take place on 1st shift (7:00 am-3:30 pm) until the required skill set has been met. Your Day Will Include Operating CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings. Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained. Monitor tool wear, change inserts, and/or make manual minor adjustments to prevent out‑of‑tolerance conditions. Inspecting complex components using precision measuring instruments and CMM equipment. Interpreting blueprints and adhering to GD&T requirements. Collaborating with programmers and inspectors to ensure exceptional part quality. Maintaining an organized, ultra-clean, and safe workspace.

What You'll Bring Experience:

MUST have at least 3-5 years of CNC machining experience, ideally in a high-precision aerospace or defense environment.

Technical Proficiency:

Must have a strong ability to read and interpret complex drawings and GD&T.

Skill Set:

Must have experience with 3-axis or 5-axis machines (experience with Hermle equipment is a significant plus) and set-up experience is preferred.

Experience with exotic metals:

(such as Titanium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel) is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses the necessary mechanical aptitude and drive.

Mindset:

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing parts where failure is not an option.

Software:

Comfort using advanced CAM software.

Competencies :

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Physical Ability:

Ability to perform tasks such as bending, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, and operating machine controls.
