Description:
Wages and Hours
NEW BASE WAGES
Base Pay:
$20 - $24, based on relevant experience
Work Hours:
5am - 5pm,
Sunday/Friday/Saturday Shift Premium Hours:
If you work the scheduled 36 hours, you will receive an addition 4 hour shift premium
Shift Premium Dollars:
$3.00 per hour worked on the shift
Monthly Bonus Opportunity:
earn up to $250 monthly safety and attendance bonus Primary Functions Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, performing a standard series of progressive machining operations to close and exacting tolerances. Changes tools and assists with or performs standard set-ups. Duties and Overall Responsibilities Following detailed instructions, operates CNC and other machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups made and maintained by others Drilling, boring, milling, turning and balancing, as required Working from detailed process instructions Using precision measuring instruments or limit gauges to check machine positioning Inspecting your own work for quality Meeting rate for each part, while maintaining quality Maintaining a clean work environment Taking responsibility for equipment care and basic maintenance Assisting other operators as needed Recognizing own capabilities and taking initiative to continually improve Performing other duties as assigned Physical Requirements The physical requirements for this position require continuous standing and intermittent walking, bending, sitting, pushing/pulling and lifting of parts that may at times be in excess of 50 pounds. The CNC Operator should have the physical and mental ability to perform the above necessary job functions while maintaining an exemplary safety record.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications Machining fundamentals and basic operation skills Shop arithmetic Print reading and measuring procedures Ability to work individually or as part of a team Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Strong awareness to surrounding and commitment to safety in a foundry environment Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior Experience Requirements Minimum of 6 months of previous manufacturing experience to ensure familiarity with industrial environments and safety practices Hands on CNC work in a manufacturing environment preferred Premier Aluminum is an E-Verify employer.
