Job Description

Purpose of Position:
To work with a team using CNCs and other tools to cut high-quality furnishings while helping achieve company goals and KPIs.
Position Overview:
Prestwick Operators are responsible for cutting the raw stock for our products using one of our 3-axis CNC routers. They must also use hand routers and deburring tools to clean the parts. Secondary operations may also be required, such as pocketing or running through various machines. They must ensure that the items they cut are produced in a way that is efficient, safe, timely, and focused on quality. The Operators must also update the Production Supervisor or Production Manager regarding any issues or needs that may arise during the process. The following are some of the expectations and responsibilities of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews provided information and prints and pull correct parts, pocket, or machine parts per requirements using the necessary/established steps. Maintains work area and organizes and puts away tools, supplies, and materials in the assigned locations. Communicate with leadership and other team members regarding problems, concerns, status, and improvement ideas. Seeks to improve job knowledge. Follows all safety requirements, work rules, and company policies. Assists in all other operations departments as required. •This position is responsible for but not limited to all the tasks and duties listed above •

Producing high-quality parts on time while being a team player and having a positive attitude
Skills and Qualifications:
Can read a tape measure. Has a basic understanding of technical drawings. Good communication skills. Ability to operate hand routers.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Often required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Repetitive task. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
