Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished parts. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software. Set up and troubleshoot CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD models. Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes. Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy. Reduce cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards. Maintain program documentation, setup sheets, and process records. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Train operators and machinists on new programs and processes as needed. Operate equipment in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA regulations Report unsafe acts, carelessness and theft to the Supervisor immediately Maintain work area in a clean, organized and orderly fashion. Requirements Must work onsite High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Esprit, or similar. Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, tooling, and machining principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and equipment. Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining. Must be able to pass a drug screen before employment, any time an employee is involved in an injury/accident and at any other time during employment. Ability to lift and carry loads of 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. Work while standing 50-75% of the time Ability to manipulate objects and use various types of equipment Must be able to see and hear to effectively perform job functions Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and demonstrate the ability to follow directions Benefits Competitive salary 40 hours paid vacation after 6 months, 80 hours paid vacation after one year, and 120 hours paid vacation annually after 2 years.
