Will consider CNC Programmers, CNC Milling Machine Operators and/or Machinist Job Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, where you will play a vital role in designing, programming, and operating advanced CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components. Duties Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD, ensuring optimal tool paths for complex machining operations. Set up CNC machinery, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration of equipment like Fanuc controls and CNC milling or lathe machines. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately produce parts that meet strict quality standards. Operate CNC machines with precision measurement tools such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions during production runs. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools and 5-axis CNC machines, to minimize downtime. Implement lean manufacturing practices by continuously analyzing machining processes for efficiency improvements and waste reduction. Conduct quality control inspections using measurement instruments and ensure adherence to engineering specifications throughout the manufacturing process. Qualifications Proven experience programming and operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines with Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CAM programming for toolpath creation on complex parts. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical blueprint interpretation necessary for precise machining. Mechanical knowledge of machining tools, tooling setups, geometry calculations, and measurement techniques essential for high-quality production. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance workflow efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
