Role:
RPM Machining Incorporated is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team in Compton, CA! This is your opportunity to bring your precision machining expertise to a dynamic shop environment where your craftsmanship truly makes an impact. Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines including mills and lathes to produce precision parts Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time program adjustments to maintain tolerances Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in proper working order Maintain accurate production records and adhere to shop floor safety standards
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist and/or Programmer in a production or job shop environment Proficiency in G-code programming and CNC machine setup for mills and/or lathes Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T symbols Strong knowledge of speeds, feeds, tooling, and fixturing for various materials Detail-oriented with a commitment to tight tolerances and high-quality output Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
