This position is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs using Mastercam, supporting production operations, improving machining processes, and ensuring high-quality part manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled programmer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement are valued. Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam. Program CNC mills and lathes from engineering drawings and CAD models. Determine optimal tooling, cutter paths, spindle speeds, and feed rates. Develop efficient machining processes to maximize productivity and quality. Prepare setup sheets and detailed machining instructions for operators. Recommend tooling and machining strategies for new and existing parts. Perform test runs and troubleshoot programs before production release. Edit and maintain existing CNC programs to improve cycle times and quality. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Maintain programming documentation and production records. Collaborate with engineering, machining, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications 2-4+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with Mastercam programming software. Experience programming both CNC mills and CNC lathes. Ability to create programs from engineering drawings and CAD models. Strong understanding of G-Code and canned cycles. Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, speeds and feeds, and machining strategies. Experience optimizing material removal rates and machining efficiency. Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and supporting applications. Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Strong math skills, including trigonometry. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating CNC machining centers. Experience with process improvement and cycle time reduction. Familiarity with maintaining CNC program libraries and documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry materials or tools up to 25 pounds.
