Job Description
About Us MDA Precision LLC designs and manufactures high-precision CNC machine tools and motion systems for advanced R&D, prototyping, and production applications. We take pride in offering innovative solutions and exceptional support to our customers across a wide range of industries. Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on, adaptable team member to join our growing operation. The primary responsibility for this role is to program and run parts on a CNC mill to support internal product builds and R&D efforts. While this is the core focus, we are looking for candidates who also bring at least one additional technical or operational skill to help support other critical areas of our business. As a small business, we rely on team members who are willing to take on multiple responsibilities and adapt to the evolving needs of the company. Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC mill for in-house production and development.
- HAAS VF2 and VF4 - we use SolidWorks for CAD and Fusion360 or HSM Works for CAM
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and CAD/CAM files.
- Collaborate with engineering to prototype, refine, and machine precision components.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Take responsibility for your CNC machine, including routine maintenance, managing tooling inventory, and ensuring material stock is available to support ongoing production.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and repeatability during machining.
- Take on additional responsibilities based on your skills and interests. Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC milling (programming, setup, operation).
- Experience working from technical drawings and tolerances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- CAD/CAM Experience - SOLIDWORKS products preferred Nice-to-Have Skills (we hope you have at least one):
- Soldering, cabling, or electromechanical assembly experience.
- Precision alignment, metrology, or machine calibration skills.
- Inventory management or supply chain coordination experience.
