In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operation and supervision of CNC Swiss machining processes, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in every component produced. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, uphold safety standards, and mentor team members to excel in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead advanced machining operations utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. Duties Lead and coordinate the setup, programming, and operation of CNC Swiss lathes, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software and AutoCAD to improve machining efficiency and accuracy. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to produce precise components. Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, reduce cycle times, and enhance productivity across machining processes. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or programming issues related to CNC lathe and milling machines; perform repairs or escalate as needed. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Fanuc and CAM programming tools for efficient machine operation. Strong mechanical knowledge of CNC lathes, milling machines, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setups. Experience with CAD software including SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD for designing parts and fixtures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize workflow and reduce waste. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and schematics for quality assurance. Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor team members while fostering a safety-first environment.
