CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer

- 2nd Shift Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer
- Level 2 to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift.
This position will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and making program edits to Haas CNC lathes to produce quality precision components. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience , with strong experience in CNC lathe setup and programming. Experience working with aluminum and various other metals is preferred, and aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred . This is a hands-on machining position requiring the ability to independently set up machines, make program adjustments, troubleshoot machining issues, and ensure finished parts meet quality and dimensional requirements. Responsibilities Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes for production runs Program CNC lathe machines and make necessary program edits and adjustments Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and specifications Set tool offsets, work offsets, tooling, and cutting parameters Load and unload material and tooling Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify part dimensions and quality Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Make necessary machine and program adjustments to maintain part quality Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues Monitor machine performance and production cycles Work with aluminum and various other metals Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and tooling performance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety and quality procedures Communicate production, quality, and machine issues to supervisors and team members Meet production schedules and quality standards Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience Strong experience with CNC lathe setup and operation Experience programming and editing CNC lathe programs Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Experience with Haas CNC equipment strongly preferred Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Experience working with aluminum and various metals Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Willingness to work overtime when required
Pay:
$30.00
10 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
