Job Description:

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and improving CNC programs and setups for mill and lathe machinery. The role involves close collaboration with our manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis/4th axis rotary mills, multi-axis lathes and VTLs. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies to maximize production efficiency and part quality. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create precise and accurate CNC programs. Modify existing CNC programs for efficiency improvements and to reflect changes in engineering designs. Troubleshoot machining issues and provide support to the machine operators to resolve production challenges. Conduct trial runs and first-article inspections to ensure that the machines and programs operate as intended. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of machining technology and programming software, including AutoDesk Fusion 360. Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend design changes that simplify setup and production. Document programming, setup, and run procedures to streamline repeat orders.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with the ability to program and setup both mills and lathes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, specifically AutoDesk Fusion 360, or a willingness to learn. Strong understanding of metal properties and cutting conditions. Working knowledge of G-code and M-code. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and work plans. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Education:

Technical certification or degree in CNC programming, machining, or a related field is preferred. How to
