Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, editing, and optimizing CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and machining processes will be vital in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to achieve excellence in metal machining, plastics injection molding, and more. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. Interpret complex mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining operations. Set up CNC machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Conduct precision measurements and quality inspections during and after machining processes to verify parts meet specifications using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by adjusting programs or machine settings to optimize performance and maintain safety standards. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve processes through lean manufacturing principles and efficient tooling practices. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, inspection results, and machine maintenance logs. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming for milling machines and CNC lathes with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code syntax. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications accurately. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines. Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems is highly desirable. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters. Strong understanding of quality control procedures related to CNC machining including measurement techniques using precision tools like micrometers and bore gauges.

$45.00 - $60.00 per hour
