Job Description

Step into a fast-growing precision manufacturing environment in Bethel, CT where high-volume work and a strong team culture go hand in hand. This CNC Setup Technician opportunity supports production on CNC mills and lathes, helping deliver parts that meet exacting specifications for demanding applications. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Setup Technician position include: 5+ years of precision machine shop CNC setup experience preferred; strong hands-on ability may outweigh exact years. Set up CNC mills and/or CNC lathes for production runs; prepare machines, tooling, fixtures, and workholding. Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications. Use setup sheets, tool lists, and related documentation to complete accurate machine setups. Manage cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and material-specific machining requirements for aluminum, steel, and other materials. Support first-part runs and troubleshoot setup or production issues as they arise. Make machine-level adjustments to maintain tolerance and quality requirements. Collaborate with programmers, machinists, and quality inspectors to resolve first-part or production issues quickly.
Salary:
$28/hr-$40/hr, commensurate with experience.
