Component Engineers, Inc. (CEI) is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Set-Up, Programmer, and Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC Swiss machining experience and be able to independently set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss machines. This position is responsible for producing high-quality precision components in accordance with customer specifications and established quality requirements. Tsugami experience is a plus. The successful candidate must be able to work with limited supervision and be comfortable handling jobs from setup through production and inspection including creating tooling platforms.

As needed to meet production requirements and other business needs. Position Duties Duties may include, but are not limited to: Set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss machines safely and efficiently. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions with minimal assistance. Make program adjustments and setup changes as needed to maintain production and part quality. Select and properly use cutting tools, tooling, guide bushings, collets, and other setup components. Understand and adjust speeds, feeds, offsets, and tooling as necessary. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments. Perform basic inspection of finished and in-process parts to ensure they meet specifications. Complete all required production, inspection, and other job-related paperwork accurately. Follow job instructions and established production and quality procedures. Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized. Deburr parts as needed. Identify quality or production issues and communicate them to the appropriate personnel. Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications 3-5+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience preferred. Proven experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC Swiss machines. CNC Swiss programming experience required. Tsugami, Part Maker, and Master Cam experience is a plus. Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints with minimal supervision. Knowledge of GD&T preferred. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Strong understanding of cutting tools, tooling, speeds, and feeds. Ability to troubleshoot machines and make program and setup adjustments. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Ability to follow instructions and complete required documentation. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
