$25-$30/hour Position Overview The ideal candidate will have experience programming, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machining equipment while maintaining high-quality standards and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the part. Must be able to edit and write CNC programs. Selecting and installing appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures on the machine to ensure accuracy, and adjusting as necessary. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth or angle of cut, and other factors which affect the machining process Inspecting the finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Performing routine maintenance on the CNC machines including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the machining process such as tool wear or machine malfunctions. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Monitor job progress against job hours via project sheets and email. Must be familiar with the basic machining functions to perform the tasks stated above. Competencies Proficient with measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, rulers, scribes, and geometric dimensions and tolerances. Knowledge/experience with Pro E, Work NC and Power Mill by Autodesk or related CAD/CAM software Experience working with
HAAS CNC
Mills and Lathes, and/or Mecof CNC preferred. Proficient with a range of cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures used in CNC machining as well as knowledge of various materials and their properties. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision throughout the machining process. Good communication with the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with engineers, mold makers, and other staff. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Qualifications 2 Year CNC Program diploma or certificate or equivalent experience. Knowledge/experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing programs.
