Job Description
For over 70 years, FK Instrument has been a leader in precision manufacturing for the semiconductor and defense industries—where every part, every cut, and every program matters. We're looking for a CNC Machinist III/Programmer who thrives on turning complex prints into flawless parts and enjoys programming as much as being on the shop floor. In this role, you'll take projects from concept to completion, shaping our machining processes and helping drive production excellence every step of the way. ⭐ What You'll Own Create CNC programs using Mastercam for tight-tolerance, high-precision parts. Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring every part meets blueprint and GD&T requirements. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools. Partner with engineering and production teams to optimize toolpaths, cycle times, and quality. Develop clear work instructions, process documentation, and quality records. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues with a calm, confident approach. Log accurate setup, programming, and run times in the ERP system. Mentor machinists and operators, sharing your expertise to strengthen the team. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that reduce waste, boost efficiency, and enhance output. Handle basic machine maintenance—coolant, oil levels, and general care. Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe. ⭐ What You Bring to the Table 5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience with CAD/CAM systems, preferably experience with Mastercam . Fanuc control experience. Strong background in high-precision machining environments. Deep knowledge of machining processes, tool selection, speeds/feeds, and optimization. Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. Mechanical aptitude, strong math ability, and sharp problem solving skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Why Work with Us?
