In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing cabinet design software solutions using Cabinet Vision, a leading CAD/CAM software tailored for the woodworking and cabinetry industry. Your expertise will drive efficiency, precision, and innovation in our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical skills in CAD design, CNC programming, and manufacturing automation to contribute to high-quality product output and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Develop and customize cabinet designs using Cabinet Vision software to meet project specifications and client requirements. Create detailed engineering drawings and schematics utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools for manufacturing and assembly processes. Program CNC machinery including 5-axis CNC machines, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and CNC tooling setups to ensure accurate fabrication of components. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to interpret blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical blueprints for precise machining operations. Optimize manufacturing workflows through lean manufacturing principles, reducing waste while increasing productivity and quality. Set up machining tools and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and measurement instruments to verify part dimensions and quality standards. Implement CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming for metal machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM) and precision measurement in machining. Support the integration of Fanuc robotics and other automation systems into production lines to enhance efficiency. Conduct tooling setup, geometry analysis, schematic interpretation, and troubleshooting of CNC programming issues to maintain seamless operations. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, measurements, and process improvements aligned with industry standards. Qualifications Proven experience with Cabinet Vision software or similar cabinetry design CAD/CAM platforms. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent CAD software for engineering design. Knowledge of CNC machining including programming for CNC milling machines, lathes, 5-axis CNC machines, and tooling setup. Familiarity with Fanuc robotics systems and automation integration within manufacturing environments. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, GD&T standards, and schematics accurately. Experience with measurement tools such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments for quality control. Mechanical knowledge combined with strong math skills essential for geometry calculations and precision measurement tasks. Skilled in CAM programming for metal machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM). Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization in a manufacturing setting.
