Job Description
Armstrong Power Systems is a family-owned manufacturer of custom generator sets, enclosures, fuel tanks, and trailers, is looking for someone to process 2D drawings to be cut into sheet metal for production. About the Role You'll work on fabrication projects including fuel tanks, enclosures, trailers, and structural frames. Work is expected to be done programming the nestings, as well as loading the machine and operating the machines. What You'll Do Work with our engineer to receive and process 2D CAD files into individual parts Use parts to create nestings while optimizing for the best material usage Keep track of multiple ongoing projects Read and interpret shop drawings Program nestings for a Trumpf punch machine and a Mazak laser cutter Troubleshoot and adapt on the fly to keep production moving Maintain a safe, organized work area Perform daily CNC machine inspecions What We're Looking For Basic AutoCAD ability Ability to visualize geometry and measurements between computer screen and on the shop floor Ability to read project blueprints Some experience with CNC machines Quick thinker who can solve problems Reliable, full-time availability, Monday-Friday Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
