Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Maritech Machine, in Panama City, Florida, is hiring for a CNC Programmer/Machinist . We are a small prototyping shop specializing in defense, energy, and oil & gas sectors. Applicants must have experience in a job shop environment, as well as be able to take raw stock and customer drawings and turn them into finished products with minimal supervision. Must be able to set up and run multiple CNC machines and guide operators if necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Machining and fabricating custom machine parts in a job shop environment. Maintaining production efficiency levels. Maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Maintain high safety standards. Independently read and interpret CAD drawings, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences. Able to verify fixture setups, load control media and operate the machine manually to perform non-automated functions. Operate machine and monitor displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions Install, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and parts on machines Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position tool holders in machine magazines Enter commands manually to perform non-automated functions Perform dimensional inspection of various products
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeping current on daily/weekly tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
Attendance. Quality of workmanship. Ability to take direction. Ability to learn new skills. Weekly output.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years' experience programming in a job shop environment High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to program 3-Axis, up to 5-Axis CNC machines Ability to machine aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace industry metals Ability to work in a team environment Ability to adhere to all company safety requirements. Software used is SolidCAM and Solidworks, controls include Haas, Fanuc, OSP300, Mitsubishi CELOS Employer will conduct background check.
Salary:
$85,000 - $95,000 annually Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
