Job Description
Company Overview Job Overview We are seeking a motivated CNC Programmer- Foam to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate advanced CNC foam cutting machines to produce precise foam components used in protective enclosures and specialized applications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output through meticulous machine setup, programming, and measurement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment dedicated to innovation and quality. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC foam cutting machines, including programming and tooling adjustments to meet specifications Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine cutting parameters and ensure accuracy Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for efficient production Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve process efficiency Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, and quality control inspections Skills Proficiency with CNC control systems and CNC programming techniques Experience with CNC tooling selection and setup for foam materials as well as metal machining when applicable Ability to read mechanical blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) standards accurately Mechanical knowledge related to machining tools, geometry, tooling fixtures, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste Strong math skills for precise measurement calculations and quality assurance in machining processes Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently Join us at DESAPRO where your skills will contribute to innovative solutions that protect critical systems worldwide.
