• Full-time, first shift, on-site $38 - $45 per hour, depending on experience We're a small aerospace job shop at the start of a growth run, and we need one more person who can take a print and a model, program the part, set up the machine, and run it right the first time. You won't be handed a program to babysit. You'll own jobs start to finish, and what you make will fly. We pay at the top of the local market because we want someone who's glad to be here and plans to stay. About Delta V Delta V Manufacturing is a precision aerospace job shop in Sanford, Florida. We're a small crew with a plan to become a much bigger one, which means your work is visible, your ideas get heard, and the people who are here early get first shot at running things as we grow. The role A year from now, you'll be the person the shop trusts with the tricky jobs: the tight-tolerance part, the first article that has to pass inspection on the first try, the setup nobody else wants to figure out. If you're strong on 3-axis and haven't run 5-axis yet, we'll train you on ours. If you're already a 5-axis programmer, you'll be the one who owns it. Either way you'll be programming and running your own work most days, and as the shop adds people and machines, this role can grow into a lead machinist or programming lead position. You'll report directly to the owner and shop manager. What you'll do Program parts in CAM from customer prints and 3D models for our vertical mills (3-axis and 5-axis), and for lathes when needed. Set up, prove out, and run your own jobs, including fixturing, tool selection, and offsets. Edit G-code at the control to dial in a job without waiting on someone else. Inspect your own work with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM reports, and hold tolerances to ±.001" or tighter when the print calls for it. Complete travelers, first-article paperwork, and inspection records the way AS9100 requires.

Flag problems early:

bad prints, wrong stock, tooling that won't hold up, quotes that don't match reality. Help keep machines and the work area maintained and safe. What we need

Required:

5+ years programming and running CNC mills in a job shop or aerospace/defense environment. Can take a 3-axis job from print to finished part on your own: program it, set it up, run it, check it. Hands-on with a CAM package such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar. We're not picky about which one. Can read GD&T on a print and check the part against it. Have machined aluminum and stainless to print. Must be a U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident) as required for ITAR-controlled work.

Nice to have:

5-axis programming or setup experience (simultaneous or 3+2). Not required; we'll train the right person. Experience machining titanium, Inconel, or other hard alloys. Lathe or mill-turn programming experience. Experience on Haas, Mazak, or DMG Mori controls. Have worked in an AS9100 shop and done first-article (AS9102) paperwork before. Sheet metal or laser cutting experience, since we do that too. Pay and benefits $42 - $50 per hour, based on what you can do, not how many years you've been doing it.
