This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with CNC machinery, including 5-axis CNC machines and CNC routers, to produce complex components with exceptional accuracy. As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise in CAD and CAM software to develop efficient programs that optimize machining processes. Your mechanical knowledge and precision measurement skills will ensure that every product meets rigorous quality standards, supporting our commitment to manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs for router machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam, and Fusion 360 ensuring optimal tool paths for complex geometries. Interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precise manufacturing. Set up CNC routers, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine calibration, to prepare for production runs. Operate and monitor CNC routers making real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or programming errors; implement solutions promptly. Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD design modifications and optimize machining processes for lean manufacturing principles. Experience Proven experience programming CNC routers or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency with control systems is highly desirable. Skilled in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam, or Fusion 360 for designing and modifying parts. Knowledge of CAM software for generating tool paths and machining strategies. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with an understanding of GD&T standards for precision manufacturing. Experience working with CNC tooling setups on metal materials using various machining tools including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Familiarity with measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to ensure quality control.
