Technical training or machining certification preferred. CNC Programmer Lead Experience Requirements 2-3+ years of CNC machining experience required. Experience operating CNC mills and lathes. Strong CNC programming experience required. Experience with Haas automation preferred. Previous experience leading or managing CNC machinists required. Experience overseeing daily machine shop operations. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and support team productivity. CNC Programmer Lead Job Duties Program, set up, and operate CNC mill and lathe machines. Manage and support a team of 3-5 CNC machinists. Provide guidance, training, and support to machine shop employees. Monitor daily production activities and workflow. Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend solutions. Ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently. Review blueprints, specifications, and job requirements. Make program adjustments to meet production and quality standards. Support continuous improvement efforts within the machine shop. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. CNC Programmer Lead Physical Capabilities Ability to stand for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment. Ability to perform hands-on machining tasks requiring attention to detail.
