EXPERIENCED

machinist who will be responsible to set up, operate and modify programs on CNC mills for our Contract Manufacturing division.

Duties include:

• Optimize current CNC programs using cutting techniques, cutter styles/types, and carbide grades
• Set up machines to manufacture parts, will include editing CNC programs and offsets as well as cutting tool and work holding changes.
• Build fixtures, accessories and cutting tools. Select proper tools and accessories as well as sharpen cutting tools.
• Preform Pm's on Machines in the machine shop
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Activities may include, but are not limited to wiping off equipment, sweeping and mopping the floor.

Required Experience:

• Vertical Machining Centers, Slant Bed turning centers, Manual Knee Mill, and Manual Lathe.
• Hold tolerances to .001"

Measuring Devices:

Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicator, Edge Finders, gauges.

• Other devices: Presses, Surface Grinders, Variety of Hand Tools, Band Saws
• Welding(Mig,Tig)

Other Job Requirements:

• High school diploma and/or vocational technical training
• Have a mechanical aptitude.
• Possess problem solving skills.
• Experience in

CAD, CAM.

• Have basic math skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be enthusiastic and willing to take on responsibility.
• Be safety minded.
• Use overhead cranes & forklifts to move materials.
• Knowledge of different control types (Fanuc, Haas) is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T and Prints/Drawings
• General computer knowledge.
