Job Description

Coppersmith Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer on behalf of our client in Elmhurst, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in plastic injection mold programming. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of CNC programming experience, with Mastercam experience being a plus. The hiring process is moving quickly, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for plastic injection mold components. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings. Utilize CNC control software and simulation tools to ensure precision and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues. Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and production teams to improve processes. Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of hands-on CNC programming experience, with a focus on plastic injection mold programming. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Experience with CNC control software and simulation tools. Strong understanding of the plastic injection molding process, including material behavior and machine dynamics. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and implement programming solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred.
