Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Shop Helper to support our manufacturing team. This role involves assisting with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of manufacturing principles, and the ability to work safely with various tools and equipment. Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus, along with familiarity with precision measurement instruments and quality control standards. Duties Assist machinists with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other machining equipment Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and tooling as needed Assist in programming CNC machines using CAM programming and CNC programming techniques Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments preferred but not required Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, CNC programming (including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes), CAM programming, and SolidWorks is advantageous Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments preferred Familiarity with tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and quality control standards is beneficial Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining processes This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment while contributing to high-quality production processes.
