$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
DOE Work Schedule:
Onsite, Monday through
Friday Hours:
6a to 230p with OT during the week and Saturdays Join our dynamic team as a 1st Shift CNC Machinist / Programmer and play a vital role in precision manufacturing at our Naperville, IL facility. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced machinists to leverage their skills in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with engineering to bring complex components to life with accuracy and efficiency. What You'll Do:
Provide valuable input to engineering on machining designs, ensuring manufacturing capabilities are maximized. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce high-quality parts. Operate, set up, and program CNC machines using MasterCam and G-Code, making edits as needed. Use precision inspection tools to verify parts meet strict specifications, including GD&T standards. Create and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies, and perform routine maintenance and repairs. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and comply with ISO standards. Assist junior team members and contribute to a clean, safe, and productive work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet production goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist. Proficiency in CNC programming using MasterCam and G-Code. Strong knowledge of machining methods, materials, and industry safety practices. Skilled in interpreting blueprints, sketches, travelers, and routings. Experience with precision inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, comparators, and surface plates. Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machinery. Knowledge of GD&T standards and quality control procedures. Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with other programming software or additional manufacturing processes. Certifications related to machining or quality assurance. Experience mentoring or training junior staff. Familiarity with more advanced inspection techniques or automation tools.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Relevant technical education or certification in CNC machining preferred. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand throughout the shift. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by
ITAR/EAR
regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, etc.). Must be available for scheduled weekend and overtime hours.
