Senior CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist Mastercam | Blow Mold Tooling | Tool & Die Location Troy, IL Shift 1st Shift Hours Mon-Fri | 6:30 AM-3:00 PM Pay $32-$40+/hr + OT SR Precision Holdings LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist with strong Mastercam skills and a background in precision tooling. The ideal candidate has worked in tool and die shop, mold making environment, or a high-precision job-shop environment and is comfortable developing machining strategies, programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and producing complex parts with tight tolerances. What You Will Own

• Program CNC mills in Mastercam, including 2D and 3D toolpath creation, process planning, program optimization, and safe machine strategy.
• Set up and machine complex, tight-tolerance components used in blow mold tooling, molds, dies, fixtures, gaging, and precision manufacturing.
• Work from CAD models, blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and customer specifications to determine machining sequence, datum strategy, and the best overall process.
• Select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies appropriate for the material, geometry, tolerance, and finish requirements.
• Prove out programs, establish offsets, verify toolpaths and clearances, and make sound adjustments to ensure safe, accurate, repeatable machining.
• Troubleshoot machining issues including chatter, tool life, finish, dimensional variation, and cycle time, then improve the program or process as needed.
• Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment while working closely with engineering and quality on difficult machining challenges. What We Are Looking For
• Strong hands-on Mastercam mill programming experience - required.
• 5+ years of CNC milling experience preferred, with meaningful time spent programming, setting up, proving out, and optimizing CNC mills.
• Experience in blow mold tooling, tool and die, mold making, precision tooling, or a similar low-volume / high-complexity machining environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to take a CAD model or print and independently develop a reliable machining process rather than simply run an established production job.
• Strong understanding of milling strategies, cutting tools, workholding, materials, GD&T, tolerances, surface finishes, machining fundamentals, and in-process inspection.
• A craftsmanship mindset: attention to detail, pride in finished work, and the judgment to recognize and solve problems before they become scrap. Experience That Will Get Our Attention
• Tool and die, mold making, fixture, gage, prototype, or other precision tooling experience.
• Experience programming and machining complex 3D surfaces or working with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling applications.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience, CMM inspection knowledge, and a strong working understanding of GD&T.
• Process-improvement experience, or a track record of improving programs, cycle times, tooling life, and difficult setups. Why Work With Us
