CNC Manufacturing Engineer Brownsburg / Indianapolis, IN Area | $85K-$110K + Benefits A growing manufacturer near Indianapolis is looking for a CNC-focused Manufacturing Engineer who can step into a hands-on role supporting programming, tooling, fixtures, and machining process improvements. This is not a desk-only engineering role. The right person will be comfortable on the floor, working with CNC machinists, troubleshooting machines, improving programs, and helping production move faster with better consistency. Key Responsibilities Program and edit CNC machining operations using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software Support Mazak and Haas equipment across mills, lathes, setups, and program prove-outs Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models to support manufacturability Identify tooling needs, work with vendors, and help order tooling for production Support fixture selection, fixture improvements, and fixture vendor coordination Troubleshoot surface finish, tolerance, chatter, tooling, setup, and machine issues Improve cycle times, scrap, tool life, and repeatability across existing programs Support new machine implementation and transition additional parts into production What They're Looking For Strong CNC programming and editing experience Fusion 360 preferred; Mastercam, CamWorks, or SolidWorks CAM may work with Fusion exposure Mazak and Haas CNC machine experience strongly preferred Tooling and fixturing experience required Precision machining background Ability to work independently with urgency and minimal hand-holding Degree preferred but not required Great fit for a Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programmer, Tooling Engineer, CNC Process Engineer, or experienced Programmer-Machinist ready for more ownership.
