Job Description

We are hiring for a CNC Lead Technician to join an innovative advanced manufacturing team supporting aerospace and defense programs. This is a highly technical, hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys owning projects from programming through production while helping improve processes and support a growing operation. This is not a repetitive machine operator position. This role is ideal for an experienced CNC professional who enjoys CAM programming, setup, machining, troubleshooting, and serving as a technical resource on the manufacturing floor.
What You'll Do:
Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for composite components, tooling, molds, fixtures, and production support equipment Program and machine complex parts using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment Set up machines, align fixtures, calibrate tooling, validate programs, and support first article processes Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding methods based on material and application requirements Machine composite materials, aluminum tooling, foam core materials, and lightweight structures to precise specifications Troubleshoot machining and process issues while maintaining quality and production schedules Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability and production efficiency Train and support machinists and operators while helping establish best practices and standardized processes Assist with process planning, estimating, tooling improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives Support inspection activities and maintain compliance with quality and documentation standards
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace, composites, tooling, or advanced manufacturing environments Strong Mastercam programming experience Experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC equipment Experience with CNC setup, process ownership, and troubleshooting Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models Experience machining composite materials, tooling materials, aluminum, foam, or similar substrates preferred Comfortable managing projects from programming through completed part What's In It for

Pay:
