Job Description

Position:
Cashco has one opening for a CNC Programmer . The CNC Programmer will be responsible for writing and optimizing CNC programs for the machining of parts, ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.
Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Programmer with expertise in Autodesk Inventor and FeatureCAM to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for creating efficient and accurate CNC programs for both lathe and milling operations, leveraging advanced CAD/CAM tools to support production of complex components.
Responsibilities:
Create and optimize CNC programs using FeatureCAM for both lathe and milling machines. Design and modify 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor to support machining strategies. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation to develop machining plans. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times. Maintain organized records of programs, setup sheets, and revision history. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing preferred. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and FeatureCAM for CNC programming. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T. Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills :
Basic understanding of Autodesk Vault, demonstrating best practices of lifecycles. Familiarity with FeatureCAM's Automation capabilities. Ability to identify and remove repetitive tasks through automation. Experience working with part families and tool libraries. Knowledge of industry terminology and machining standards. Ability to revise and customize post processors as needed. Experience with multi-axis machining and live tooling. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of ERP systems and digital manufacturing workflows.

Working Conditions:
Shop floor environment with exposure to noise, coolant, and metal debris. Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Use of PPE is mandatory.
