Job Description
Job Title:
CNC Programmer Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, focusing on producing complex aerospace components and tooling fixtures. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, 3D models, and customer specifications to develop efficient machining strategies. Responsibilities
+ Create CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines to produce complex aerospace components and tooling fixtures.
+ Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and customer specifications to develop machining strategies.
+ Optimize machining processes through cutter selection, workholding design, and speeds/feeds recommendations.
+ Utilize CATIA and VERICUT to develop, validate, and simulate CNC toolpaths.
+ Design tooling and fixture solutions to support complex manufacturing operations.
+ Create setup sheets and production documentation to support shop floor execution.
+ Provide hands-on support during new program prove-outs, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities.
+ Collaborate closely with machinists and manufacturing teams to improve quality, efficiency, and producibility.
+ Support aerospace quality requirements, including FAI documentation, ITAR compliance, and adherence to
ISO 9000/9001
standards. Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in NC programming and CATIA for CNC programming and machine simulation.
+ Experience in programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines for complex aerospace components.
+ Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprints, and 3D model interpretation.
+ Skilled in high-speed machining of aluminum and hard metals; Makino experience preferred.
+ Ability to design tooling and workholding fixtures in CATIA.
+ Knowledge of FAI, aerospace inspection processes, ITAR, and
ISO 9000/9001
requirements.
+ Proficiency with G & M Codes and CNC machining methodologies.
+ Comfortable providing shop-floor support, troubleshooting programs, and driving process improvements. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Strong communication, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset. Work Environment Work is conducted in an engineering office space from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401K, Health, Dental, PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Wichita,KS.
