Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision-engineered components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, technical drawings, and programming software. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs for various machines, including CNC lathes and 5-axis CNC milling machines, utilizing CAM software and CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings with precision measurement instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Set up machining tools and fixtures accurately for production runs, ensuring optimal tool selection and geometry. Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Perform toolpath verification, simulation, and adjustments to ensure programs meet specifications for complex geometries. Conduct quality control inspections using measurement tools to verify part dimensions against GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Troubleshoot machining issues related to CNC tooling, programming errors, or machine operation to maintain high productivity levels. Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD design modifications and CAM programming for new product development. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling configurations, and process parameters for repeatability. Ensure compliance with safety standards during machine setup and operation. Qualifications Proven experience in CNC programming for milling and turning operations on machines such as Fanuc-controlled systems. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM programming tools. Strong knowledge of CNC tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining parameters. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with GD&T is essential. Mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in metal machining and precision measurement instruments. Experience working with 5-axis CNC machines and understanding of complex geometry machining. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Pay:

$30.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
