Position Overview:

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers to produce precision molds and components, meeting tight tolerances and production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers using CAM software
• Interpret blueprints and CAD models to determine machining requirements
• Select tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design personnel to ensure part requirements are met
• Continuously improve cycle times and machining processes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years CNC programming experience in mold-making or precision machining
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling selection, and machining strategies
• Experience with high-speed machining and tight tolerance work preferred
• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
• Knowledge and experience machining various tool steels
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork/communication abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines
• Experience using Mastercam
• Familiarity with mold manufacturing processes
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with ERP systems and production tracking
